Hours:

              7:00 am – 7:00 pm

Any truck inside the gate by 7:00 pm will be unloaded.

Near the end of the drying season, when the amount of loads per day drops below economic and logistic feasibility, FRC will discontinue receiving rice at our West Sacramento operations.  FRC will assist the remaining dryer customers in finding a new dryer location, however, these growers will be responsible for their own green freight.   Notice on this change will be posted at the scales and on the “daily moisture limit” recording at least three days in advance.

Varieties:

Calrose

S-102 (Early season only)

Incentives:

Moisture- During the first several weeks of the drying season, dryer patrons may deliver rice in the range of 22% - 26% moisture and will only be charged at the 22% drying rate.

Member Green Freight- $.45 /cwt green freight rebate for members only.

Member Financing - FRC will pay your entire freight bill directly to your freight company.  Any amount over $.45/cwt will be carried on your account interest free until the final crop payment. FRC will not advance or pay the green freight to other dryer facilities not participating in this program. To assist us in the timely payment of your freight bill, please have the freight company identify at a minimum the FRC weight certificate and the rate per green cwt. Please have the freight company send the freight invoices to you for your review and approval. After your approval, sign and then forward the invoices to FRC for payment.

Other Information:

Maximum Moisture Limits – It is critical for everyone’s benefit that rice with the lowest moisture analysis be given priority at our dryers. At the peak of the season, it may be necessary to limit daily deliveries. If this does become necessary, a maximum daily moisture limit on incoming rice will be established. The daily moisture limit for the next day will be conspicuously posted at each FRC dryer facility. The daily maximum moisture limit for the next day’s deliveries will be available after 1:00 p.m. on a telephone recording at (916) 371-8307.

A delivery in excess of the applicable daily moisture limit may not necessarily be rejected for that reason. Such delivery will be subject to a surcharge in addition to our standard drying tariff as follows:

Cumulative Daily Deliveries With Excess Moisture

Surcharge

From 1 to 600 green cwts, then for the next

None

601 to 1200 green cwts, then for the next

$.10 per green cwt

1201 to 1800 green cwts

$.20 per green cwt

All in excess of 1800 green cwts

$.30 per green cwt

Appraisals –Your initial appraisal of your identity sample will be provided at no cost. You are allowed two reappraisals (Three total), however, you will be charged for any reappraisals. The reappraisals must be performed within 30 days of your initial appraisal. The results of all reappraisals will be final.

Settlement Values – FRC will guarantee depositors participating in its drying program for the initial weight, quality, and milling yield initially credited to the patron’s account.

Problem Deliveries – A delivery may be rejected at our discretion for variety mixture, excessive foreign material, excessive field damage or moisture content in excess of 30%. FRC members will be subject to damage discounts for rice of less than #1 quality.

Records – “Crop Division” forms and “Paddy Rice Delivery Information and Instruction” booklets, and “FRC Green Freight Invoices” are available from our Field Representatives or at the dryer offices. The booklets provide specific information on lots, load origination, splits, and other necessary information. FRC members should give particular attention to the “Grower” and “Crop Division Reference #” designations so we may cross-reference the appropriate crop division on file with FRC. We urge you to utilize the booklets. They will assist you in receiving a prompt initial advance for your delivery and help insure the accuracy of information.

Daily “dryer lot summaries” will be available through the FRC web site (farmersrice.com) under the member section, “Reports”.  These reports will be updated every morning by 7:00 am.  The information in these reports will include moistures and weights.

Assistance and Coordination – Our field staff will assist you in scheduling deliveries to our dryers. If you have any questions regarding our dryer program, please contact your FRC Field Representative. You may also contact our Field Services Department in Sacramento, phone (916) 923-5100.
